A native of North Carolina and a teacher by training, Phyllis began her career in San Antonio in the 1970s. BILL CROOM joined Keller Williams Realty after a career in the U.S. Air Force, followed by work in the financial, aerospace and public service sectors. Originally from North Carolina, Bill entered the Air Force after graduating from the University of North Carolina. He served more than twenty years in a number of flying, training, administrative and management positions. He flew 218 combat missions in F-100s in Southeast Asia and earned three Distinguished Flying Crosses, twelve Air Medals and the Purple Heart. Upon retirement, he served in the financial and aerospace industries before becoming Director of Military Programs for the Colorado Springs Chamber of Commerce, a position he held until returning to Texas. He also has been elected National Secretary of the Air Force Association and has served on numerous non-profit boards and foundations.
